I, too, speculated this after a guildie confirmed it could be done. She has three accounts though, so it will come in handy, personally, as well as for new guild members.

Of the dye, I really think this the best one of all. It makes just about every armor look good. Even if it doesn't look good in straight pink, it mixes so well. I've already started redying and once I find good mixes I'll redo my entire ranger's set.

I really have to voice my opinion on this. Bringing in the such as breast cancer and its icons is really annoying. I play games to get away from the real world crisis and crapola and bringing this crap into the game is just more crapola on the cake of unfun. Keep it in the real world on tv, radio, magazines but please keep it out of my "get away from the world gaming time".

Your in the minority (very very very small minority)

You aren't required to buy pink dye. And those of us trying to replicate pink for ages get some help. You aren't required to show up to pink day in la and odds are you didn't. They didn't force their way into the american districts. They didn't force you to do anything. Your complaints are basically pretty stupid and selfish.

It's like o noes people got new dye. And 10,000+$ were raised for research purposes but I'm going to complain because it reduced my enjoyment of the game every so slightly for 2 weeks tops if your complaining about the dye trader and one weekend if your talking about pink day (which the after party ran over a bit)

Pink+Purple is the new Black. I hope Pink Dye becomes a permanent feature.

All ArenaNet did was add a pink dye vendor. It's an incredibly subtle and fun addition to the game, for a good cause. It's not immersion breaking, it's not intrusive.

The whole 'Pink Day in LA' fundraiser event was entirely community driven, with GW-EN running the show, and other fan organizations like GuildMag and GuildWarsGuru helping out.

Have a little heart, it's for charity. It's not like these things happen every week, and it was contained within one outpost.

Unfortunately people afflicted with this horrible disease can’t plague touch it away. Families that have to deal with this disease don’t get the choice to get away from the real world crisis.

Its fricken color if you do not like it wear black like your heart

i find it funny you play a game like this to get away from real life. once you play with rl people you are in rl issues or have you never stood in a town with local on? and i for one am glad they are doing this. my granfather died of cancer my mom is a breast cancer survivor and my grandmother had skin cancer once. im happy people are supporting this cause. and for the nay sayers that hate gw for adding pink dye go play in asian towns not many people are wearing pink in those districts.

The people who are complaining about this ruining their "immersion" are probably the ones who love the holiday events the most. Basically they are hypocrites, and because of that its better to just ignore them.

I applaude the community for having pink day fundraiser, very cool. Having been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer back in april I can tell you the whole thing is a bitch! Every little bit helps you all should be very proud of raising money for fighting breast cancer. It is one more thing that gives people the will to keep fighting. Now if the FDA would approve avastin for breast cancer treatment. Anything that can help extend life is awesome not matter the cost.

I guess we will not be seeing a brown dye day for colon cancer awareness not a very popular color! Yes, I still have my demented sense of humor or course the pain meds help too!

There are very few people alive today whose lives have not been touched by cancer. I've lost a grandfather, a mother-in-law, and an aunt to cancer. My mother's recent breast cancer has been traumatizing for my immediate family. There is no game that wipes that away. Supporting cancer research of any kind helps to make you feel less helpless.

Honestly, I think this is awesome. It was definitely a nice move for Anet to do this.

And yes, I did buy a full stack of pink dye. I spend far too much time trying to replicate pink on my armors and some of them you just simply cannot get a mix to turn out pink on them. What can I say, I love pink.

I have a question:

Is the pink dye a one-time thing that will never happen again, an eventual permanent addition to the game, or will it be a recurring yearly thing? There is a reason why I bought 200k worth of pink dyes :P.

Probably the best color combo I've seen on GW.

The real reason the pink dye trader is here is to cancel out all the money this guy is giving away this event.
